Staff

The Rogers family are ably supported by their dedicated staff team who are an essential part of the homely atmosphere of the Downs House and are always on hand to assist with clothing, bathing and other essential needs. They are also a friendly face, to provide reassurance and support at all times. To ensure high standards of care all staff receive induction training. There are regular in house Fire Safety, First Aid and Food Hygiene Courses. NVQ qualifications in Care are run in-house with many staff having achieved or working towards this nationally recognised qualification. There is an internal NVQ Assessor and a staff member qualified as a Key Trainer in the moving and handling of residents. Also unlike many other residential homes, there are staff members with nursing qualifications.
